THE LAUNCH: The Journey Group

The Journey group is a discipleship time for watchmen and those interested in growing in their prayer life. Sessions are Monday mornings 6am Jerusalem time. That translates to Sunday evenings 8pm PT in North America. The next series will be focused on "The Nation's Rage: Prayer, Promise and Power in an Anti-Christian Age." Books are available through Amazon. You do not have to have the book to participate, but we highly recommend it to read as it will equip us with a solid foundational biblical perspective for the times we are in. The book's backbone is Psalm 2.
Why Study the end-times?
Peter exhorts us, "But the end of all things is at hand; therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers," 1 Peter 4:7. The word serious or sōphroneō; means to be of sound mind, i.e. sane, (figuratively) moderate: — be in right mind, be sober (minded), soberly. This is an important invitation to join together and build into sound foundations for the times that are ahead.
Our Goals:
COMMITMENT: We are looking at a one hour weekly commitment for 10 weeks, starting the first week of April 11. We will work it into the present watches so there is no 'extra' time commitment.

- Watchmen need to understand the biblical narrative of end-time events before they unfold so that we do not succumb to the secular narrative (which is emerging in significant ways now).
- The secular narrative is not neutral. Believing it will leave us open to fear, offense, lust, and deception. It is playing out now before our eyes.
- We need to understand God's true plans for Israel and the destiny of Jewish people as political systems seek to manipulate and control decisions.
- We need to understand the biblical narrative so we do not become part of enemy plans to deceive...even the elect.
- There is power in having a biblical foundation for the end-times
- It affects our prayer life and perspective of events happening now
- It connects us to what the scriptures say
- It gives us insight into the application of the Word in terms of how to live in times such as we are now living.
- Our heart response to cultural challenges are prepared by the knowledge of the Word
- That we, as the body of Christ, learn the bridal position and stand with Jesus as His friend in challenging times.
- The end-time biblical narrative carries seeds of hope and destiny that are necessary fuel for revival fire. Understanding a "Come Lord Jesus" view will be a necessary ingredient and catalyst for revival.
Our Goals:
- REVEAL: This study is to be a vehicle for greater understanding of the end-time narrative and to reveal God's redeeming nature and plan for nations. Psalm 2
- REDEEM: To strengthen ourselves spiritually through faith, hope and love of a redemptive God, Daniel 11:32.
- REVIEW from the tree of life: To review the endtimes from the tree of life. Though we will be given much information, we will learn to handle the information from the tree of life, knowing there will be differing opinions, we will learn to handle them in the love of Jesus and respectful of one another (see our core values).
- RECEIVE strength: To receive an impartation and zeal for the times in which we live. We will have clarity of vision and assurance of scriptural promises to be vessels of hope and peace in an increasingly distraught world.
COMMITMENT: We are looking at a one hour weekly commitment for 10 weeks, starting the first week of April 11. We will work it into the present watches so there is no 'extra' time commitment.
Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ,
to whom be glory forever and ever. Heb 13:20
