Blessing and Cursing
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:9-14
The Kavanaugh hearings in the USA have uncovered a force in the world and particularly the body of Christ with hurtful, unvetted accusations working their way to bring down the elect. Scriptures warn of this (Matthew 24:9-14). We are aware there is a significant increase of communication targeting Christians and non-Christians alike. So much so, we are publishing these prayer points for use in your prayer groups and watches to shield and counter these attacks:
The Global Watch
Please review the core values of the "Watch" as they are powerful reminders of creating an environment for spiritual health.
- "A curse without a cause shall not alight." Proverbs 26:2
- Repent for presumptive or accusatory speech
- "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his sould to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully." Ps 24:3-4
- Repent for any idle talk, presumptive accusations (unvetted) we may have engaged in that have defiled, denegrated, or hurt others.
- Repent for any actions or inactions motivated by fear of man
- Repent for any jealousies and insecurities that have driven action/inaction, words or thoughts towards others in the past.
- Pray for respect and restraint in how the tongue is used:
- Pro 18:21 "Power of life and death is in the tongue"
- Col 4:5 "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."
- Repent for lawlessness in our culture and a return back to the Lord
- Mt 22:37-40; The great commandments, loving God and one another, "Upon these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets."
- "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his sould to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully." Ps 24:3-4
- Release any offense through forgiveness and blessing
- If you have been a target of assaults, release those who have hurt or offended you through prayer and blessing. It is a pathway to freedom.
- Mt. 5:43-44 "“You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."
- Receive your reward.
- Mt. 5:11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
- If you have been a target of assaults, release those who have hurt or offended you through prayer and blessing. It is a pathway to freedom.
- Reset our hearts towards God with the fruit of the spirit:
- Gal 5:19-26 "I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another."

- Receive Reparation and healing by overcoming the attacks
- Is 58:9-12 "If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday....Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell in."
- Restoration and Prayer for the Ekklesia (ongoing prayer for spiritual strength):
- Pray in the counsel of the Lord: Is 11:2, "The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of the knowledge and of the fear of the Lord."
- Pray on the full armor of God: Eph 6:10-17, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" Eph 6:10-17 - Pray and call in the fruit of the Spirit:
- Eph 5:8-13, "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light."
- Gal 5:22-26, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another."
