Strengthen the weak hands,
And make firm the feeble knees.
Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Isaiah 35:3-5 (NKJV)

After coming out of a compelling experience in Herrnhut Germany at the "Watchman Rise and Build" Summit, the Lord spoke quietly to my heart, "You have done what you can do, now watch to see what I will do." Since then, there have been earthquakes and three massive hurricanes changing the architecture of nations. As an all-knowing, loving, merciful Father, what is God saying?
This year being the Hebraic year 5778, eight in Hebrew is the letter Chet (ה). It is a symbol for a fence, inner room, or means to separate. It can be thought of as a door, ending one season and stepping into another. One interpretation the Hebraic number eight alludes to is a departure from the “natural” world and entry into the supernatural world. There is a powerful, creative, life-giving force in this Hebrew letter. For an excellent reference click here. In fact, "Chet," in Jewish tradition, is short for Chayim or "life." In Christian tradition eight is a number for "new beginnings." What does all this mean for us now?
There are significant markers that are beginning to unfold as we enter this New Year.
New Vistas Released
"Divine appointments" are happening. Through God-given circumstances, God is putting pieces of a divinely ordered puzzle together. Some in the front lines of the past season have sensed a spiritual slow down, even a call to a season of rest. Others have been underground working through vision and callings that have seemed insurmountable or insignificant. No slow-down, no sense of insignificance escapes God's view. New doors are opening, and no one is too insignificant, or prayer group too small to be counted in the purposes of God. God-breathed vision is coming into a new season. "Unsung" heroes are stepping into collaborative forces and suddenly finding their place in a powerful army rising. People carrying God-given vision will find each other through unexplained moments of "Divine appointments." When encountering this sense of convergence, take heed! God is merging vision and visionaries. As doors of convergence are apprehended and opened, new vistas yet unseen will break into view leading to paths yet untrod yielding supernatural fruit. New strength will arise as God-given vision expands and is strengthened through new alliances.
Release of Favor
Many who have labored in their vineyards, struggling for their identity and calling, will enter into new realms of favor to see God-given vision, and ministry accomplished. Those who have been faithful, enduring tests of discouragement, despair, rejection, and seemingly not getting anywhere, will come into a season of fruitfulness. This season of favor will require new mindsets as God restores hope and people apprehend new faith. Psalm 71:20 states, "You, who have shown me great and severe troubles shall revive me again, and bring me up again from the depths of the earth."
Knowing His Rest
In the midst of the storms and headwinds of the year, God will call His people to enter His "Rest," (mnuchah). The Hebrew word meaning rest, מְנֻחָה, contains the Hebrew letter "Chet" (n). Rest does not mean sleep. It means active determination to stay attentive to our spiritual identity, purpose, and vision...to remain abiding in the vine when everything around us may seem like it is falling apart. Noah's name "Nah" (נֹחַ) came from the Hebrew word for rest, mnuchah, מְנֻחָה. Noah lived in a time of tremendous turmoil. His ability to enter God's rest allowed him to accomplish his God-given call against all the odds. His rest and trust in God saved the earth...no small task!
Daniel's Cry and Wisdom's Call:
As tumultuous times increase, there is a "Daniel call" upon the body of Christ. God is moving in powerful ways raising up a prayer army who, much like Daniel, are "Relentless" in the face of all odds. Supernatural interventions and powerful testimonies of "Only God can do" will result. A spirit of praise and trust in God's faithfulness in days of increasing adversity will mark 5778 as the "People who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits," Daniel 11:32. Place that scripture on the doorposts of your heart and see God's favor and divine intervention release vistas for you that have yet been unseen! The fruit will follow...and it will remain.
