From Cutting-Edge Prophetic to Apostolic Delivery
Pey: 80
Restore us, O God of hosts;
Cause Your face to shine,
And we shall be saved!
Psalm 80:3, 7, 19
Restore us, O God of hosts;
Cause Your face to shine,
And we shall be saved!
Psalm 80:3, 7, 19
We are in a year that opens the door to a new decade, both in the Hebraic (5779-5780) and the Gregorian calendar (2019-2020). There is a distinct sound emerging. It is not voiceless, but rather a clamor and noise of a multitude of voices. The sound of an army rising. A shift is happening. The distinctives of this shift center around the number 80, reflecting the Hebraic new year emerging, 5780.
More about 5780:
During the Herrnhut Summit this year, August, 2019, there was a significant theme of birth that the Lord highlighted throughout the convening. This led to a recalibrated message that what we have seen in the past and labored for is now about to come forth in greater fullness. The birthing process has already begun. The hour for the birth of what has been in formation is upon us. Cutting-edge prophetic vision is birthing forth apostolic delivery. For those who have endured and not let go of the promises of God, do not give up. The clamor is heralding the advance and victory.
Details of the meaning of “Pey”
As we turn from the decade of the 70's to the decade of the 80's, there is a sense of a shift. 70 in Hebrew is "Ayin" or eye, ע, to know or experience. (1) 80 in Hebrew is "Pey," פּ. To Hebrews, “pey” means mouth. (2,3,4) The importance of this transition is centered on the power of our words. The Word of God is the very force of creation itself. Creation was propelled forth by the spoken word of God repeatedly saying, “Then God said,” Gen 1:31; v. 3, 6, 9, 11, 14. John 1:1 states, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” As we call upon His name, and the creative force of the Word (particularly scriptures) is spoken, what we say carries weight and can impact the atmosphere around us. Proverbs 18:21 clearly states, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." May this be a year and decade that our speech carries the life inspiring message that clears atmospheres for the promises of God to come forth.
The Power of the Decrees
Our declarations of God’s Word are a creative force today. He is ever watching over His word to perform it and it will not return to Him void, Is. 55:11. This is a year of favor to speak forth that which we have seen and know and to call it into being. As we speak out, the creative force of God will generate activity for establishment. That "which is not" will come into being, Mark 4:22. Seed long contended for and held back will spring forth into new life. John 12:24 states, “Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone, and if it dies, it produces much grain.” This is a picture of what happens to hidden seed when the word of life hits it. Suddenly it springs forth into new life. That which was seemingly dead and dormant takes on a new life.
Further insights into the number 80 and the importance of the spoken word:
The Call of the Watchmen
The 80th chapter in the Bible, Exodus 30, points to the importance of prayer. This chapter gives instructions on the construction of the Altar of Incense, the basin for washing, anointing oil and the formula for the sacred incense. All are a picture of prayer and its intimacy with a holy God.
The 80th verse in the Bible is Genesis 3:24, “So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life,” Gen 3:24. Guard is the Hebrew word “Samar” which means to “Watch.” Samar speaks to the calling forth of the Watchmen to guard and watch over the purposes of God. As decrees are made and the creative force of God is loosed, there is a call for the Watchmen to watch over, to contend for, and to keep the delivery of the new things God is releasing on due course so that it is not dismantled by schemes of the enemy.
Decrees carry the message, but the establishment must come from the call and active stewardship, i.e. “Watching” over the word. In other words, this is a season to not only decree but to be actively engaged in the process to bring to delivery. We are entering a season of shift and alignments. The stance of the watchmen will be critical. They (watchmen) cannot be alone but must be actively engaged in building their ramparts and connections through the nations. These altars of prayer/worship are vital as God moves to bring alignment with His end-time purposes for the nations and Israel. In this season of shift, the heralding stance of the Watchmen will be essential. Their eyes must be held firmly above the distress of the times and issues they see and focus on the heavenly realms to decree the purposes of God. Revelation 4:1 is a stance, “Come up here, for I must show you things to come.”
Rosh Hashanah Message 5780
We are in a season when the decrees of the Watchmen will be important for the advance and establishment of His Kingdom. This can look quite different depending on the call of individuals and communities. Here are some prayer focuses for instance:

We are in a season when the decrees of the Watchmen will be important for the advance and establishment of His Kingdom. This can look quite different depending on the call of individuals and communities. Here are some prayer focuses for instance:
- Call for creative strategies that promote relational strength between missions and prayer to breakthrough the final frontiers of the global harvest. Neh 4:19-20; Mt 24:14
- Cry out for strategies for the Church (Ekklesia) to move in empowerment to impact transformational change in the seven mountains of culture, i.e. business, education, media, government, etc. Ps 24:1; Is 9:6-7; 2 Chron 20:20
- Call for the contending communities of prayer to be received and promoted for spiritual breakthrough in cities and regions for the further release of the end-time glory of the church…revival. Job 22:28; Rom 11:25
- Release of unfulfilled prophetic words to now be reviewed and declared forth. 2 Chron 20:20
- Release of the fullness of the Gentile church to be the Ekklesia, Mt 16:18, Rom 11:25.
- Call for the Malachi 4:6 release of intergenerational engagement. (hearts of the fathers turning to the children and the children to the fathers).
- Declare a Joel 2:28 release of the spirit of prophesy upon all generations
- Pray for the sons of God to emerge, Rev 21:3; "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God." Rom 8:14
- Pray for the spiritual walls of Jerusalem to build with watchmen taking their place in the nations, building their ramparts, and connecting. There will be heated attention against Israel’s destiny as well as the building necessary for the walls to secure it. Those building up the walls must be “Strong and of good courage,” Josh 1:9. Israel’s destiny for Salvation and future glory is moving to a much higher level, Amos 9:11-12; Is 61:6, Rom 11:25.
