Ramadan & Passover 2023
"A Three-fold Strategy"
22 March - 20 April
And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:3
As Ramadan 2023 approaches, violence is erupting and will likely continue as the fasting and prayers continue through Ramadan. Such spiritual activity historically erupts in violence, if not wars. On the first day of Ramadan in 2003, twenty years ago, suicide bombers drove 5 carloads of explosives into 5 buildings, the headquarters of the Red Cross, and four Iraqi police stations, and an insurgency in Iraq escalated. For further details go to "Does terrorism really increase during Ramadan?" With violence rising in Israel, it is time for us to lock shields as watchmen over Jerusalem addressing specific targets.
We are calling for concerted action over this month. As watchmen, below are issues that are stirred through Ramadan. The list is not comprehensive, but are to provide impetus and focus for your prayers. Taking the revelation of the season of "Divine Reversals" from the Esther Decree, we exhort you to engage in a three-fold strategy

The list is not comprehensive, but are to provide impetus and focus for your prayers. Taking the revelation of the season of "Divine Reversals" from the Esther Decree, we exhort you to engage in a three-fold strategy
- Divine Reversals through principles of binding and loosing
- Calling forth destiny for both Israel and those bound in Islam, i.e. sons of Ishmael/Esau
- Personal consecration during Passover
- We are calling for a fast of your choice through Ramadan: water, liquid, no meats, dinner only (that is the traditional fast for Muslims), no sweets are suggestions.
- Take communion daily
- Engage with the watches as we contend for the issues below (Zoom calls are happening daily)
Through Ramadan Three Fold Strategy
1) Declare Divine Reversals
The following "bind" themes are promoted and erupt through the prayers of Ramadan impacting spiritual activity in the nations and in particular Israel. The specificity of these themes are important to bind and to loose the opposite to push back schemes of the enemy to kill, steal, and destroy. Please use in your watches and personal prayers.

2) Contend for the destiny of Israel and sons of Ishmael/Esau
Salvation for Ishmael/Esau
- Isaiah 60:7. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall ascend with acceptance on My altar and I will glorify the house of My glory.
- Kedar and Nebaioth were the first born sons of Ishmael (Genesis 25:13)
- Esau married into the family of Ishmael Gen 28:9, thus, two roots of rejection were bound together and seed for what would come...Islam.
- The Nabataeans built Petra. They are the descendants of Nebaioth, the first born of Ishmael. It is likely the wisemen traveled through Petra on their way to Bethlehem as it was a major passageway for the trade routes in that day.
- Isaiah 42:11. Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela (Petra) sing, Let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare His praise in the coastlands.
- Persia/Iran. Jeremiah 49:38-39 I will set My thrown in Elam (Persia/Iran), And will destroy from there the king and the princes, says the Lord. But it shall come to pass in the latter days; I will bring back the captives of Elam, says the Lord.
- See also: Gen 17:18, 20; Jer 48:47; Ezek 25:11; Micah 2:12
- Psalm 14:7. Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.
- Hebrews 8:10-12 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
- Isaiah 59:20-21. "The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, says the Lord. "As for Me," says the LORD, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore."

3) Personal Consecration: Passover 5 -13 April 2023
In the middle of Ramadan is Passover. In light of the shift and gateway into a new season that is occurring, we urge you to take this time as a time of consecration to prepare for the season ahead. Passover is a time of consecration and deliverance. The Israelites applied the blood of the lamb over the doorposts of their homes as a protective measure against the destroyer, Ex 12:23. This Passover, we are asking watchmen to take personal time with the Lord to fellowship with you. Ground zero in personal warfare is our identity. The enemy will do anything possible to keep us from our true alignment with the Lord to thwart the power available to us through Jesus especially at key gateways.
Case in point, when Peter recognized Jesus for who He was, Mt 16:16, Jesus' entire ministry changed. He went from ministering to people to focusing on Jerusalem. It was also the first time He spoke to the disciples about the cross. He also rebuked Peter for his presumption in declaring his ability to follow Him through the suffering He was about to endure. In brief, there is significant warfare over your identity. Take this Passover time to get before the Lord and allow Him to minister to you through His word. One good passage to start a conversation is through Psalm 139:23-24, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Suggestions for this week:

- Fast of choice (as above)
- Seek the Lord on how He wants to use you in the Watch and specific issues He is calling you to contend for.
