The Report for "Reset 2020" Watchmen International Summit
Word and Vision: "From Reset to Rooted"
10-13 August 2020
This report is a compilation of insights and messages from the recent “Watchmen International Summit: ‘Reset’.” It has been compiled from reviewing the small group feedback and subsequent conversations, personal insights, and vision that occurred during the Summit. The summary highlights characteristics of a dynamic process into which God is calling His Church in response to the times. We truly are in a time of “Reset." What does that mean? This report is designed to help give clarity and understanding to this time of transition. This is a year of "Reset" in preparation for the coming season. It is a time to contend and war for the inheritance due His name!
Vision: On the last day of this Summit, 13 August, 2020, during the USA Watch Call, Sue Rowe had a vision that would not relent. It began with an overall view of the European/African continents. She saw a large wooden platform, rectangular in shape, clean, and well built. In the middle of the platform was a small tree with green leaves. As time progressed, other trees began to erupt on the platform until it was full. The trees grew and looked healthy. Then suddenly, the platform started to break, exposing a root system underneath. The roots were thick and white in appearance, intertwined, and healthy. Eventually, the entire platform cracked, but the trees stood strong as the root system held them securely. It is important to note this happened on the anniversary date of the outpouring in Herrnhut.
Interpretation: Trees represent communities of the Ekklesia, the Church, rising out of the present church system. Centuries of church history, reformations, revivals have built a platform to which we are accustomed. Now, in the pressures and trials of this day, God is calling the Church to transition. From this vision, it will be an expression that will emerge from the present-day platform, or church. The movement, now underway, will be firmly rooted in His Word, and acted out in faith. Paul promises, "That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God," 2 Cor 2:5. These trees are distinctly connected to and through the root system. Biblically, the root system symbolizes Biblical truths. Psalm 33:4 states, “For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth.” New revelation and implementation of foundational truths in the Bible that have been marginalized through tradition will now spring forth with further clarity. God is watching over His Word, and it will "Not return to Him void,” Isaiah 55:11.
Challenges:
Today, the body of Christ is facing unprecedented challenges. In the face of these trials, the Church is in a catalytic moment to be salt and light amid increasing darkness. The world has seemingly lost its moral compass. Through the challenges, God is calling His Church into a stronger identity in Jesus, and greater understanding and capacity of His love and work of the Holy Spirit amongst believers. The challenges today are insurmountable without God. However, we also know the greater the challenge, the greater the call to the body of Christ. That statement alone summarizes the "Reset" we are now being challenged with.
God is directing the way forward by creating new wineskins that will foster the Ekklesia's revelation and growth. Our understanding of the import of community in prayer is foundational to this growth. At this summit we learned that we must realize how our prayers are affected by the quality of our relationships. As revelation of the power of the great commandments grows, the Ekklesia will emerge. Such rooting will lead to a power and glory in the Church that will surely usher in the final harvest, the Gentile Church's fullness, and the salvation of Israel, Romans 11:25.
It is, therefore, critical that we understand the "Reset." Below are some key insights that emerged from the Summit.
Journey back to the “Root” for the “Reset”
Individual Call of the Watchmen
Corporate/Community Call of the Watchmen
End-time Call of the Watchmen
Watchmen fostering and building communities of committed prayer, are key to the “Reset.” Seeing beyond the smokescreen of today's tumult, they are forming relationships, agreeing upon, and declaring God's purposes. As they prepare the spiritual highway, the path is being opened for the wider Church to see, receive, redeem, and restore ancient truths. Invisible walls that have kept us separated from God and one another are in the process of collapsing as relational strength increases. Revelation of the foundations of the great commandments will be vital, upon which are "All the law and the prophets," Matthew 22:40. As the Church responds to the hour, a new wineskin is emerging that will not only nurture the body into its fullness, but be a place ready to receive the harvest.

It is, therefore, critical that we understand the "Reset." Below are some key insights that emerged from the Summit.
Journey back to the “Root” for the “Reset”
Individual Call of the Watchmen
- The cross is the way forward for our lives. We must align ourselves vertically with Jesus and emanate that relationship horizontally.
- Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”
- We are not to take flight in pushbacks, but to fight for the breakthrough.
- Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.”
- We are in an hour to increase our faith and not give in to fear. Fear is the want to be in charge, a sin of the flesh that draws us away from trusting God. When we overcome fear, we remind demonic powers of their eternal doom. Victory announces what is coming their way. The demonic's aim is to disrupt our faith.
- Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
- If we get offended by others, it’s usually not the other person's issue; it's ours that got triggered. "God, what's in me that I need to forgive or needs healing, freedom, etc.?"
- Rom 13:11 “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.”
- Our testimony is a powerful tool against the enemy's schemes to kill, steal, and destroy. If there is fruit, there's root.
- Matthew 7:20 “Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.”
- The ability to overcome will be a vital character trait to develop for the coming season, Revelation 12:11.
- Rev 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."
- John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
- Repentance is key to unlocking zeal. True repentance will break off assignments of complacency and spiritual slumber.
- 2 Cor 7:11 “For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.”
Corporate/Community Call of the Watchmen
- Prayer/worship will become an essential part of the church, particularly corporate prayer in agreement. No longer will it be optional for a few, but necessary for all. The first church understood this and added to their number daily, Acts 2:41, 47.
- Isaiah 56:7; Mt. 21:13; Mk 11:17; Lu 19:46 "My house shall be called a House of prayer for all nations."
- Lu 12:31 "But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you."
- Agreement is an essential quality of healthy Ekklesia. United prayer is more than agreeing on a prayer request. It is about being knit together in such a way that every joint supplies and is equipped.
- Eph 4:16 “From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
- The new big is small. Metrics for Kingdom “success” or advance will change. God delights in using the weak to show Himself strong.
- Mt 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
- Live in a lifestyle of constant forgiveness. This is foundational concept of healthy Ekklesia
- Mt. 18:21-22 “Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, ‘I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.’”
- Constitution of your community is more important than the fervency of your prayers. We don’t realize so many things in our lives are hindered because of the disarray of our relationships.
- Mt. 5:23-24 “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”
- Pride is Satan’s anointing
- 1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.”
End-time Call of the Watchmen
- Study of the end-times is vital for the times in which we live in order to discern through the lens of God’s eternal purpose.
- Jesus said, “Do you not see all these things?” Mt. 24:2; “Take heed that no one deceives you,” Mt. 24:4.
- The purpose of discernment is to align ourselves with God’s cosmic plans, not the opinions of men or our personal perspective. Our prayers can then change history for individuals, circumstances, lives, and nations. Such perspective moves us away from the pointing finger Isaiah speaks of in Isaiah 58:9.
- Isaiah 58:9, 12 “If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness…You shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell in.”
- We will, of necessity, become agile and capable of handling both glory and great difficulty.
- Hab 2:1 “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.”
- Rom 12:18 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
- Prayer is a vital component in missions both at home and abroad. The last frontiers of the global harvest, whether it is the homeless and drug addicted on our streets, or in foreign nations, are strongholds of the enemy that must be dealt with spiritually in prayer before any advance of the Kingdom will be realized.
- Luke 10:2 “Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
- God’s covenant and eternal plan for Israel will become a clear redemptive perspective for prayer.
- Jeremiah 31:34 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

As Watchmen, we join in praying the following for the Church:
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Eph 3:14-19
