Glorifying God in the Midst of Adversity
So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD (יְהוָֹה yhwh) your God (אֱלֹהִים ’elôhîym),
and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper!....
Praise the LORD (יְהוָֹה yhwh), for His mercy endures forever." 2 Chron 20:20,21

Praise the LORD (יְהוָֹה yhwh), for His mercy endures forever." 2 Chron 20:20,21
There is a sound of war in the heavenlies! Many are sensing it. The wars, rumors of war, and economic upheavals we are presently experiencing reflect these spiritual battles. As these tensions rise, in particular against Israel, we are setting aside this time of historic difficulties known as the "Straits of Tammuz" to worship God and His name over the nations. 2 Chron 20 records a historic battle against Israel's enemies. Jehoshaphat understood the power of worship when Israel’s enemies came against them. As they focused on worship, to “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever,” God sent ambushes and the enemy was defeated.
