“At the Threshold!”
Be Strong and of Good Courage!
Word for 5779
From the Watchmen Rise and Build Summit, 2018
Herrnhut, Germany
"Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed,
for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
Recently, watchmen from twenty nations answered the call to convene for the “Watchmen Rise and Build” Summit in Herrnhut Germany. During the course of the gathering, significant insights and themes for the coming season came forth. The timing, place and purpose of the gathering accentuated and confirmed what we are sending forth for your consideration and pray that it brings encouragement and inspires revelation for the season ahead.
Vision:
During a particular point in worship, I had a vision of what one would describe as the “Ancient of Days” seated at a desk writing in a large book. His face was bright light, barely seeing features, white hair and beard. His eyes were flames of fire as He wrote. As the page filled with writing, He took His pen and marked the end of a page like a period. Then He turned the page. It was empty and I heard the word “Reset.” The flames of fire in His eyes became a twinkle. Throughout it, He did not lay down His pen as if ready to write more. The twinkle in His eye was an invitation to engage End of vision.
The immediate interpretation was that we are entering new season. That which is past is over yet not forgotten. Slates are clean and it is time to “Reset,” adjust, re-align for the coming season. Below are insights from the convening that lend strength and insight to the vision.
A marked time:
Last year, 5778, was the year of battle at the gate. Many experienced trials, “For great is the battle at the gate,” Isaiah 28:6. The trials of the past were meant to strengthen us for the season ahead. Now, on September 10th and 11th this year, Rosh Hashanah, we entered into the Hebraic year 5779. We are also coming upon the Gregorian year 2019. These dates are significant in the fact that this year September 11th, 2018, the Hebrew Haftarah reading of Isaiah 61:10-63:9 was the same as that which was spoken on September 11th, 2001. Being Rosh Hashanah, the “Feast of Trumpets,” the New Year has heralded the call of the Watchmen,
“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:6-7
To further confirm this call and convergence, Herrnhut, Germany was founded on these very scriptures. At a significant time, Rosh Hashanah, and place, Herrnhut, Germany, meaning “The Lord’s Watch,” God’s call for the “Watchmen” to rise and build was marked and fortified. We are in the hour and time for fresh understanding of the import of this call in the body of Christ. Throughout the convening, God’s presence guided us from one encounter to another. People began to pick up the understanding and were affirmed in their calling as Watchmen.
At the Threshold:
Along with this being 5779, a distinct focus on 9 and 10 emerged at the Summit. There was a 10-year commission to see the message and mission of Herrnhut into its 300 year anniversary in 2027. We are in the 9th year of that happening. On further revelation, there is a real biblical significance to the number 9. Here is a rundown.
SUMMARY:
The vision and prophetic convergence opens a door of invitation to step into the promises of things labored for but not yet seen. This year is a time when that which has been concealed, will be revealed. Fruitfulness, multiplication and building of the Kingdom will result. The “Hidden seed,” so to speak, will bud forth and bring new life. Dry bones will receive new life and revelation. Blind eyes will be opened and ears unstopped to the “New things,” God is doing, as Isaiah 43:19 promises, “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it?”
The commission is to “Be Strong and of good courage,” Joshua 1:6, 9, 18. God’s calling and promises will be fulfilled. The warning is to not take old mindsets into this new season. This is a year to be bold and courageous. Pray for fruitfulness in your family, lives, and ministries.
KEY POINTS FOR 5779:
Pray for love to abound and be a driving force in your life, family and work:
May the seed of God’s call and vision for your life come into full fruition. There is a call to step forward through the threshold. God is watching over His promise to you. As Moses commissioned Joshua before entering the promised land, “Be strong and courageous…The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” The Hebrew word for courage is Hazaq (חָזַק ḥâzaq). It is often used as a greeting or message in the Hebrew language. May this year be a year of Hazaq to you!
Hazaq!

- There are 9 fruits and gifts of the spirit, Gal 5:22-23, 1 Cor 12:8-10
- There are 9 Jewish feasts (7 feasts of the Lord; 2 feasts of the people, Chanukah and Purim)
- 9 is the largest numerical digit. Multiples of 9 always add up to 9 i.e. 9 X 2=18 (1+8 = 9)
- 9 is the number of human gestation
- The Hebrew letter Tet ט is the symbol for 9 and means to surround
- The first ט is the word “Tov” in the bible meaning “Good,” Genesis 1:4.
- 9 in the Bible is significant
- In the 9th year, Hebrews were commanded to eat the old produce until its produce comes in. Leviticus 25:22
- In the 9th hour of prayer an angel appears to Cornelius saying “Your prayer has been heard and your alms are remembered in the sight of God,” Acts 10:31. Plans were then revealed to bring to fulfillment the prayers of the past season, Acts 10:32-33.
- In the 9th hour of prayer, Jesus dies on the cross and the veil was rent Matthew 24: 45-53.

KEY POINTS FOR 5779:
Pray for love to abound and be a driving force in your life, family and work:
- “Love has been perfected among us in this, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment…There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear,” 1 John 4:17-18.
- As God has forgiven you, forgive those who have trespassed against you. Make sure your slate is clean of offense. "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God." Philippians 1:9
- “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him,” Hebrews 11:6.
- “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” Psalm 119:105.
- Pray in the counsel of the Lord: “The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord,” Isaiah 11:2.
- Pray on the armor of God to protect: Ephesians 6:10-19.
- Call in the Fruit: Ephesians 5:22.
- It was on the 9th hour the veil was rent in the temple. Something profound will move upon Israel this year spiritually to open blind eyes to the gospel. Pray for the 1st nation’s intercessors and prophets to arise in Israel.
