Call to Prayer & Fasting
Walking in Victory
in Days of Adversity
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them,
because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:4
PLEASE choose the fast of your choice. We welcome and invite your participation from 2-23 January. We will be emphasizing Daniel throughout the 3 weeks and recommend the Daniel fast, but you can choose your own fast.
At the dawn of the new year, the times have distinctly shifted. With the war breaking out in Israel this year, we have shifted into historic times. We are therefore calling for a three-week prayer and fasting focused on, “Walking in Victory in Days of Adversity." How do we walk with God in troubled times that divert our attention, incite offense, betrayal, overwhelm, and steal our joy? We are seeing a sharp rise in the influence of demonic forces behind much of what is hitting the news headlines. John wrote, Greater is He who is in us than He who is in the world, 1 John 4:4. That being said, we need to hone our discernment towards the subtle (and not so subtle) seduction of enemy schemes to derail us so that we can prevail successfully in this coming season. The depth and character issues being challenged today are very real for all of us. This three-week period of fasting and focused prayer will help sharpen us individually, corporately, and in the end-time narrative to walk effectively and victoriously with Jesus. The topics to be addressed during these weeks will hone our understanding and discernment. Below is the breakdown of the three weeks with suggested topics for the watches. The three weeks will include watches and speakers addressing the topics. The suggested topics are as follows:
- And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king's delicacies. Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables. As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. Daniel 1: 15-17
