International Initiative for Passover: A Grassroots Call to Intimacy with God and Community with Others
Thursday, 9 April-Saturday, 11 April
"Do this in remembrance of Me." Luke 22:19
"Do this in remembrance of Me." Luke 22:19

We are inviting you to join in celebrating Passover from April 9-11th, the first three full days of Passover. In days when the enemy is trying to separate us, we are asking you to take initiative in joining together with your family, friends, church, or co-laborers in COVID-19 responsible communities one hour a day for three days. This is a grassroots call to intimacy with God and community with others. On the night of Passover, the Israelites were commanded to gather together behind the doorposts and lintels of their homes as God passed over them. God was serious about turning their hearts to Him in preparation for the miraculous deliverance that was about to happen. With nations in lockdown, we too are being pulled back into our homes paralleling the time of Passover. It's as if we are in a Global Passover.
A Spiritual and Historic Unprecedented Time:
The challenges COVID-19 presents are creating a historically unprecedented time when life is coming to a standstill. God is calling us to re-order and reset our lives for a higher-level accountability, and consecration in Him and with each other. He is preparing us to be a people filled with love, hope, joy, and peace in an increasingly lost and disenfranchised world. As the traditional Passover is upon us, we see God calling the body into a place of deeper intimacy with Him and community with others. Using platforms in line with Covid-19 restrictions, this kind of online communication and community is possible. As we respond to this call, we believe we are entering what will become a historic and spiritually significant landmark.
When? Dates: Thursday-Saturday, April 9-11
Why Passover? It was on Passover Jesus introduced the first communion sharing the bread, His body; and the wine, His blood. He gave it to them saying, "Do this in remembrance of Me," Luke 22:19. Today, Passover and communion continues to be a reminder of the life He continues to give us all. As such, Passover, in the Old and New Testament, represents the gateway to life. God is inviting us to celebrate the Feast of Passover in these unprecedented times to prepare ourselves to be that gateway of life and hope to those around us.
How? This is an invitation to take initiative with your family or community of friends to meet intentionally one hour a day, April 9-11th through online platforms, phone, face-time, etc. or in small groups that are compliant with COVID-19 social distancing recommendations.
What does this call to intimacy and community look like? Community expressions can vary depending on your location. A few examples are as follows:
Why three days? It was on the third day, He rose again into resurrection life.
Suggested focus for the three days, through worship, prayer and the Word, these focuses are recommended:
On a Personal Note:
We believe we are in a historic time to celebrate Passover in agreement globally as many nations are in a lock-down. Though the enemy wants to separate us at this hour, God is calling us together in unique and creative ways. A vast harvest field and the fullness of the Gentile Church is waiting on the other side.

What does this call to intimacy and community look like? Community expressions can vary depending on your location. A few examples are as follows:
- Families taking time to worship, pray, read the Word together as a family type altar
- Church or home groups connecting via internet, or in homes with no more than ten in the COVID-19 regulated areas.
- City-wide prayer expressions that involve government, faith community, business connecting together
- Prayer groups or streams joining cities and regions together (For example check out California call for Passover)
Why three days? It was on the third day, He rose again into resurrection life.
Suggested focus for the three days, through worship, prayer and the Word, these focuses are recommended:
- Day 1: Repentance: Hearts will be cleansed of obstacles that separate us from God and one another.
- "Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened." Romans 1:21
- "Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." 2 Cor 7:9
- Day 2: Reconciliation: God will reconcile us with Him and with one another
- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation." 2 Cor 5:17-19
- Day 3: Revival: For the body of Christ would walk in the fullness of the power Jesus intended.
- "That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." 1 Cor 2:5
- "And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days." Joel 2:28-29
