This year’s International Watchmen Summit in Herrnhut, Germany, was more than a gathering—it was a marked time. From the opening Shabbat, we were met by His Presence, and throughout the week, He faithfully guided us through moments of worship, teaching, fellowship, listening, and profound encounter.
As old friends met new friends, the Summit was marked by an unusual warmth of His love and a depth of unity that could only be described as the work of God Himself. Walls came down. Conversations deepened. Hearts opened. Participants not only received from the speakers but learned from one another, listened to different perspectives, and engaged in mutual honor and respect. The result was a week of refreshing, strengthening, and life-changing fellowship.
SIGNS FOLLOWED: Even the skies seemed to invite us to pay attention. On the first night, participants noticed what appeared to be a massive Roman numeral XI across an otherwise clear sky. The following day, the number 11 appeared again. Was it simply an interesting coincidence, or was the Lord inviting us to look more closely?
One interpretation immediately stood out: Romans 11 and Paul's revelation of God's purposes concerning Israel and the nations—the mystery of the One New Man (Ephesians 2:14-16) and the grafting together of Jew and Gentile in God's redemptive purposes.
Whether or not the signs were prophetic indicators, the theme was unmistakably present throughout the Summit. Romans 11 became more than a Scripture reference; it became a picture of what we were experiencing. The gathering itself demonstrated something of the beauty that emerges when believers honor God's covenantal purposes, recognize our need for one another, and walk together in humility. The One New Man was not merely something we talked about—it was something we experienced.
ALIGNMENT: Significant alignments also happened during the gathering. Friday, August 7, 2026 was the start of the Summit. On August 7, 2026, at the same time, there was the signing of the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" in Mecca/Saudi Arabia. This was a historic agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. For the eschatologically minded, this could very well represent an appointed time for foundations of a further peace accord that Daniel 9:27 speaks of. Time will tell.

Tuesday, August 11th: We were blessed to be part of a historic unveiling of a sculpture that was put into the wall surrounding the garden at Jesus Haus. The creator of the sculpture was Rick Wienecke, "Fountain of Tears" creator, Auschwitz, Birkenau, Poland, and Arad, Israel, was with us. He relayed the vision, history, and import of the sculpture. With Israeli representatives standing amongst us, the moment carried profound weight...and marked us. Standing as both Jew and Gentile, we were poignantly reminded of the suffering, persecution, and murder of the Jewish people and the consequences of humanity turning away from truth, righteousness, and God.
Yet in the gentle atmosphere, there was also a deep reverence for the possibility of redemption and restoration. The sculpture became a reminder that remembering history is not intended to imprison us in the past. Rather, such history can become a foundation from which we determine to walk a different path into the future. We remember and honor those who suffered by refusing to forget, while as a community of watchmen, believing that God can lead us toward healing, reconciliation, restoration, and a future marked by His redemptive purposes. |

Further alignment also happened on Wednesday, August 12th. This was a day in which the Joshua Generations collaborated on the day. It started with an intergenerational panel discussing the needs for the generations coming up and for intergenerational connection. The afternoon we spent celebrating the outpouring that happened in the historic church at Berthlesdorf. The session was filled with joy and encouragement and culminated with communion.
The evening took a remarkable spin. With youth leading the worship, a few men began to dance, then suddenly, more men began to dance. Soon the room was ignited as men, young and old took center stage dancing together. It was like electricity filled the room. Outside, another remarkable sign was happening at the same time. A solar eclipse marked the spiritual alignment happening in the room (see video)! The dancing led to a time of throwing out the planned agenda and moving into a dynamic time of repentance from the men, then the women, then the youth. Such convergence truly marked the summit in a powerful dynamic no human hand could fashion. |

Creative arts were introduced through not only the amazing sculpture from the "Fountain of Tears," but through Lebanon and the creative arts that are emerging from the war zones of the Middle East. One picture is a thousand words. God is still moving in the war zones of the earth.
We returned home carrying more than notes and memories. We carried relationships, revelation, questions, encouragement, fresh vision, and a renewed determination to watch and pray. Perhaps the greatest testimony of the week was not one particular message, sign, or encounter. It was the growing realization that God is bringing people together for purposes that are larger than any one individual, ministry, nation, or generation. The highways are being prepared. The generations are being connected. The walls of separation are being challenged. The watchmen are being awakened. And the invitation remains: Watch. Listen. Align. Build. Prepare the way. |

Herrnhut 2026 Insights – Shirley M
One of my privileges at Herrnhut was stewarding and consolidating the prophetic submissions as they came in. By the end, there were 66 submissions. Pondering receiving 66 submissions, Fred said there are 66 books in the Bible. Sue had been talking about Isaiah's 66 chapters. What struck me was that they didn’t remain 66 separate words. As the week went on, a corporate picture began to emerge. It started with foundations — prayer, intimacy, hearing God clearly, coming back into His presence.
Then we began to see the gate and the Highway. There was movement. The River began to flow onto the Highway. Then came the altar, consecration, truth and covenant, and this strong call for the generations to move together.
And then something shifted again. We moved into repentance — particularly that extraordinary night with the men and women — and from repentance into the fire of revival which then led up to commissioning. By the final night, the three words I was carrying were: Marked. Sealed. Commissioned.
Herrnhut moved us from revelation into responsibility. We received a great deal, but the question now is not only, ‘What did God say at Herrnhut?’ It is: What has He entrusted to us, and how will we steward it?
I don’t believe the Highway ended in Herrnhut. I believe we were commissioned to walk it. The Lord has been speaking to me about stewardship. Now we must steward what God has entrusted to us.
